Target released a statement that they have experienced unauthorized access to payment card data in U.S. Target stores. This could impact anyone who made a transaction at Target from November 27 – December 15. Read the statement from Target here
Protecting member identities and information are top priorities at Postal Credit Union. PCU has recieved a list of compromised Cash & Check Card and Visa Credit Card numbers and has reissued new cards. We have notified affected carholders by email and mail with details. PCU and its card processing vendors have extensive fraud monitoring in place which allows for early detection of unusual and suspicious behavior in transaction activity. You are also protected by Visa's Zero Liability.
All compromised Cash & Check Cards were automatically closed January 15, 2014. Compromised Visa Credit Cards will be automatically cancelled February 11, 2014. If you haven't ready done so, please activate your new card and PIN as soon as possible.
Zero liability with Visa
Your PCU cards have Visa's Zero Liability. Meaning you are NOT held responsible for fraudulent charges made with your card or your account information when the card is not present. Learn more about Visa's Zero Liability policy.
Target Red Cards - Debit
If you have a Target Red Card linked to your PCU Checking Account, please contact Target for a resolution. The Red Card is issued by Target and these transactions are processed differently. Consequently these transactions are NOT covered under Visa's Zero Liability policy.

Obtain Your Credit Report
You may also periodically obtain credit reports from each nationwide credit reporting agency. If you discover information on your credit report arising from a fraudulent transaction, you should request that the credit reporting agency delete that information from your credit report file. In addition, under federal law, you are entitled to one free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies.
